Game Guide
Grand Theft Auto 5 is an open-world action game set in the fictional city of Los Santos, available in both a single-player Story Mode (following three playable characters) and GTA Online, a separate multiplayer mode with its own economy and missions. It has mature content (violence, language) worth knowing going in. New players should start with Story Mode to learn the controls and world before trying GTA Online, which has a steeper learning curve. Controls are similar across platforms — driving, shooting, and interacting with the world are all mapped to a handful of buttons that become familiar quickly.
